Deacon Frank Collins, Sr.  was born February 11, 1926, to the Union of the late Charlie Collins, Sr. and the late Mary Long Collins in Terry, Mississippi. He was the youngest of 12 children who all preceded him in death. In 1959,  he married Mother Emma Harvey Collins and to this Union four children were born. one preceded at childbirth.

Deacon Frank Collins, Sr. confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Rhodes Creek M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Jordan. Faithful to his calling, devoted to his service, and steadfast in his commitment. He was Rhodes Creek through and through.

Deacon Collins was a faithful and loyal servant in the army of the Lord. He served over 40 years as a Deacon, over 26 years as Sunday School Superintendent, Flower Club Member, SIck Committee Member, implemented varies building fund project, and was an original member of the Orginal J.M.B. Congress of Christian Education.

Deacon Collins was a firm believer in education. Although he was afforded the opportunity to go farther than a six-grade education; what he didn't gain in the classroom was given to him by God. With a wealth of Godly knowledge, he was able to work sharecropping land providing for his sisters and their children until he was blessed with a family of his own. With God on his side, as a couple, they were able to purchase the exact land he sharecropped. He was blessed to work for 33 years as a master diesel mechanic for the Caterpillar company.

Deacon Collins was well known for his leadership skills, his work ethics, his charisma, his snappy style of dress, and enthusiasm for church activities. But what stood out the most was his biblical knowledge. His ability to quote scriptures, explain and teach the Word of God.

Deacon Frank Collins, Sr. Fought a good fight, he finished his course, and he kept the faith, on the morning of October 17, 2018, Deacon Collins transitioned to his heavenly home to receive his crown of righteousness.

Visitation hours will be held from 12-7 p.m. at People's Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2018. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00  a.m. at Rhodes Creek M.B. Church located at 3228 Old Jackson road-Terry, Mississippi 39170

Interment will follow at Mt. Eva Cemetery located in Terry, Mississippi
