Arthur Adam Pullum, Jr. of Jackson, MS passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2019, after a short illness. Art was born on April 23, 1945, to Arthur Adam Pullum, Sr and Anna Mae Pullum at Camp Shelby. Art grew up in Hattiesburg and was a proud graduate of Rowan High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force following high school. Arthur received an honorable discharge from the military and enrolled in Missouri Southern University, where he received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. After college, Art moved back to Mississippi and worked in business services for Tougaloo College. Arthur then met and later married Elizabeth Ann Barnes on November 1975. Arthur served as Assistant Administrator at Kidney Care, Incorporated in Jackson, MS while earning his MBA in Business Administration from Jackson State University. Shortly thereafter, Arthur opened the first black-owned franchise of Western Staff Services, in Jackson MS. Arthur successfully ran Western Staff Services for 18 years before changing the name to AAP Staff Services. Arthur retired from the staffing business in 2009 but continued working as a consultant. Arthur was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and former member of 100 Black Men of Jackson and The Boule.
