Mr. William Hamilton, Jr.

February 27, 1946 ~ July 9, 2018 (age 72)

Mr. William Hamilton, Jr. 72 years of age, passed on Monday, July 9, 2018, in Jackson, MS. Preceding him in death is his father, William Hamilton; mother, Fannie Mae Hamilton; and brother, James Jackson.

William was born on February 27, 1946, in Memphis, TN. He was the youngest of three children. At an early age, he was baptized at Klondike Church of Christ and attended Manassas High School both located in Memphis, TN. During his stay in Brandon, MS, he joined the Lake Harbour Drive Church of Christ.

On May 17, 2005, he married his lovely wife, Mary Hamilton. Together, they enjoyed going to the movies, experiencing fine dining, attending concerts (especially jazz), plays, and church events. At 20 years of age, William wanted to be a Marine! So on June 16, 1966, he enlisted in the United States Marines to serve his country for four years.

William earned his Addiction Counselor Training Certificate and served as an Alcohol and Drug addiction counselor and sponsored a host of individuals. He worked as a counselor for many years. He provided counseling services at Alternative for Life, CoPac, Harbor House of Jackson, Metro Counseling, and Falcon Hill Recovery House.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial service has been set for Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel. Repast will be held at  "YMCA" located at 6023 Lakeshore Park in Brandon, MS 39047
