Mrs. Annie Mae Branson peacefully departed this life at home surrounded by family on Sunday, August 18, 2019, in Jackson, Mississippi. Annie was a long-time resident of the Georgetown Community.

Annie was born on December 21, 1916, in Canton, Mississippi to the late Mrs. Ozzie Patterson and Mr. Clifon Luckett, Sr. She was united in holy matrimony with Edward Branson on November 9, 1935. To this union, 13 children were born. She was baptized and became a member of Lee's Chapel AME Zion Church where she was an active member of the choir and participated in most programs given at the church until moving to Jackson, Mississippi in 1946. After moving to Jackson, she joined Cherry Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. L.L. Love and was blessed at the age of 102 to continue active attendance under the leadership of Pastor Marek Walker.

Annie was a loving person who showed kindness and respect to those who crossed her path. She was solid in her faith and mirrored the proverbs 31 kind of women. She was slow to anger and showed enormous patience and was quick to lend a hand. She was a strong and proud lady with a heart of gold.
