Evangelist Beatrice "Bea" Bozeman Wilcher was born November 6, 1927, on the banks of the Pearl River in Terry, Mississippi. She married Lanier Wilcher, Sr., a loving husband of 69 years who preceded her in death: to this union 14 children were born. Five children and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Beatrice accepted Christ at an early age and lived her life as a virtuous Woman of God being an ordinated Minister since 1970. She was an active member of Mt Wade Missionary Baptist Church and worked with many auxiliaries until her health failed. She received a Bachelor degree of Divinity from New Foundation Theological Seminary. She was a member of Heroines of Jericho Oak Grove Court 130. She also received numerous recognitions in the communities, which she served and loved. She was a farmer, rancher, and homemaker as well as exceptional cook and feed many people. She loved to talk and entertain with family and friends. Also, she loved the outdoors and truly enjoyed vegetable gardening, planting flowers and painting.
Most importantly, Beatrice loved the Lord; He was her light, strength and the salvation of her life. God blessed her with many spiritual gifts, which allowed her to be the Spiritual Advisor to may people near and far. She was a Bible scholar in her own right and she spread the gospel o Jesus Christ to everyone. God gave her a vision many years ago to build a church called the Beatitudes where she ministered, worshipped, prayed and gave wisdom to many individuals. Beatrice leaves the cherished memories of her love and faith that will be engraved in the hears and minds of her family and friends
Visitation hour will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 1-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, located at 886 N. Farish Street - Jackson, MS 39202. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, located at 886 N. Farish Street - Jackson, MS 39202. Interment will follow at Mt. Wade Cemetery, located in Terry, MS.
