Mrs. Minnie Esther McFarland journey began on January 18, 1944, in Bolton, Mississippi to the late Mr. Author and Mrs. Viola Fults. On June 26, 2019, the sun set for Evangelist Minnie McFarland.
Evangelit McFarland is a graduate of Sumner Hill High School in Clinton, Mississippi. At an early age of twelve, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Personal Savior at Hill of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bolton, Mississippi.
After relocating to Jackson, Mississippi in 1965, Minnie united with the Truevine Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. James C. Matthews. She was a dedicated member of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church and she became the first Evangelist of Truevine. Evangelist McFarland was a faithful member, who was a member of the Missionary Society and a Mother of the Church who was going out and doing the work of the Lord by visiting and praying for the sick and the shut-in
Evangelist McFarland favorite scriptures were: Matthew 6:33 KJV, "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteous, and these things shall be added to you" and John 14: 1-2, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."
For many years, she worked as a cook at Redwood Inn. She also worked at Primose and Magnolia Restaurants.
Evangelist McFarland has left a legacy and precious memories for her husband of forty years, her sister, brothers, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
