Mrs. Ora “Baby Lee” Watts Austin, was born November 24, 1916, in Farmhaven, Mississippi located in Madison County to the late Otis Watts and the late Mollie Tate. On Saturday, April 7, 2018, she peacefully transitioned this life. She was reared by her maternal grandmother, Lucy Clanton, and was the older of one sister, Mary Monclaire, who preceded her in death. Affectionately called "Baby Lee", she attended Old True Light School until 4th grade and after school, she began working in the field.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Eugene "Lou" Austin in 1940. They lovingly reared two children: Verlean "Tib" and Henry.
Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018, between the hours 12-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, located at 886 N. Farish Street Jackson, MS 39202. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Cade Chapel M.B. Chuch, located at 1000 Ridgeway Street Jackson, MS 39204.
Interment will be at Old Truelight Baptist Church Cemetery in Farmhaven, MS
