Ms. Jewelene Branch the third of four children, Jewel was born to the late Leroy and Sadie Branch on April 30th, 1945, in Rankin County, Mississippi. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jewel joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful and active member until her health began to fail. She was a faithful member of the Sunday School, Sunday Worship Service, and the Hospitality Committee.
Jewel attended McLaurin High School, graduating with the Class of 1965. She received an Associate Degree from utica Jr. College and she also did further study at Alcorn College. She was an active member of the Farming Federated Association and an active volunteer member with AARP. She was employed as a teacher at Jerusalem with the Head Start Program, she was employed with Magnetek Manufacturing in Mendenhall, Mississippi where she retired
Loved by so many Jewel though gone in spirit will forever live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she touched.
Visitation hours will be held Friday, March 1, 2019, from 12-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, located at 886 N. Farish Street - Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Jerusalem Church, located at 446 Jerusalem Church Road in Brandon, MS.
