Sister Eva Jackson was born December 28, 1927, to the late Ms. Omega Wilson. She was raised by the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed and Mammie Wesley. Sister Jackson confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt Pleasant M.B. Church under Rev Simmons, where she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to God and her church. Sister Jackson worked as a faithful Sunday School Teacher and Group Leader, she served in these position until her health failed.
Sister Jackson always expressed, "When I was able I came and worked in the church because I knew the day would come when I would not be able to work."
Sister Jackson lived a life with a purpose, growing up in rural segregated Madison County, she was educated in the Madison County school system and attended CM&I College. She was united in hold matrimony to the late Mr. Able Jackson, no children were born to this union, but she was a mother figure to many.
Sister Jackson was employed by the Jackson Public School System in the Food Service department. There she was able to utilize her love of cooking especially baking. Sister Jackson had a great love for sweets and flowers. She could make any plant flourish.
Visitation hours will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 12-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home - Jackson, MS 39202. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church located at 729 Gluckstadt Road - Madison, MS 39110. Interment will follow at Garden Memorial Cemetery located in - Jackson, MS
